Well...

Sun Sep 27, 2009, 8:11 PM
You all know how good I am at posting these things consistently... not.

Anyways, I am officially a college student, and have been since August. I'm majoring in English, although I don't really know what I'm doing yet. I could either be an editor (hard to find a job), journalist (not my thing), maybe an English teacher (high moral standards and no privacy)... or I could just switch my major entirely and decide to go be something random again... but that's the least favorable, most time consuming, most expensive option... I'm having a hard time committing to just one future.

I spent some time down in Texas the week before school started, visiting my amazing boyfriend, ~SomebodyMinus1. I was there for a whole week and we had an awesome time hanging out. AND I just went to Chicago a couple weeks ago here for the weekend to visit my lovely friend, Vicky, with my other lovely friend ~Axedya.

I need to find a job. Anybody have any ideas? I'm open to odd one-day-a-week type things... I actually already have one of those now, doing office work and baby-sitting on Mondays.

But... um... yeah, I can't think of anything else...

Freaking Out

Sun Jul 19, 2009, 8:06 PM
So at the beginning of Senior year I had everything planned out: I wanted to be a pharmacist and I was going to go to JJC for two years and then Northern for two years...

And then I decided that I didn't want to be a pharmacist and started freaking out and changed my mind A LOT so that I wanted to be a jet pilot and then the owner of a small book/coffee shop, then a health inspector, and then an editor. (I landed on editor.) In the mean time, I also decided that I did NOT want to go to JJC and that I wanted to go to Lewis, and then that Lewis was too expensive to go to right away so I would have to take a year off and work. In the middle of all of this, my boyfriend, ~SomebodyMinus1, ups and moves to Texas.

So that was where I was at... until I discovered that going to JJC would be cheaper, and that I am not coping well with being several states away from ~SomebodyMinus1.

So now I have NO idea what I'm doing. As it stands, I

A) have just a tiny bit short of enough for a year at JJC.

B) like the idea of working for a year and saving up some more money before I start school.

C) lose my health insurance as soon as I turn 19 unless I start at JJC (or school SOMEWHERE) this semester, full time.

D) miss my boyfriend and would like to actually move to Texas as soon as I could.

E) would make a lot less at a job in TX because their min wage is only $5.85.

F) would have to pay a lot more to go to school in TX because I would be out of state.

G) have very little time to make up my mind because I am not enrolled ANYWHERE right now, and if I am to go to college this semsster, classes start very soon.

Any thoughts? Comments? Advice? Anything? Please?

I'm BACK

Tue Jun 16, 2009, 8:48 AM
Yes, you read that right. I am BACK! As many of you know, deviantArt and I had been having a few problems with one another: namely, my computer (and ONLY MY computer) would not show dA (and ONLY dA) properly. Well, ladies and gentlemen, I FIXED IT!

*shoves bubble pipe in mouth*

At first I suspected that a virus was to blame... *Dramatic look* but I was WRONG. After carefully reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows, dA was still just out of my reach and the culprit was still at large. Just as I was giving up hope, I recieved a tip off from the most unlikely source... *dun dun DUN* Facebook. *gasps of shock* Yes, Facebook. Unlikely as it may be, Facebook went against it's contaminating, spyware-ridden ways to snitch, and informed be that the REAL culprit was none other than...

*POINTS DRAMATICALLY* INTERNET EXPLORER!!

How could old IE betray me?!

Well, I'll tell you my friends. It was just that. IE had gotten old... and, well... somewhat senile. It's mind had gone. Turns out, IE was just TOO far gone. There was nothing left to do except let IE go and replace it...

WITH IE 8!

Yes, my friends, Internet Explorer 8! Newer! Shinier! Younger than it's senile grandparent, IE 6! And most importantly, dA friendly!

You heard me: I'm back at dA! And unlike last time I returned from a long absence and did NOTHING, I have already uploaded two new pieces of artwork from class at Seneca this past year.

In Other News

1. I have officially graduated from high school.

2. ~SomebodyMinus1 has officially moved to Texas.

3. I officially have a job at JR's Pet Store in Morris.

4. I officially have the Sims 3 and it is AWESOME.

5. My car is trash and I am officially looking for a new one starting yesterday.

6. Garage sales are AWESOME!

7. AWESOME is an awesome word.

It's Been A While Since A Journal, So...

Thu Aug 21, 2008, 6:32 PM
Yeah... I haven't had a journal entry since March... So here's a really long one to make up for it!

My Summer

I went to England, Ireland, and Wales with a tour group that included a couple teachers, my dad, some other parents, a lot of students from my school, and even ~Axedya. We saw castles and sheep and I got a plushie donkey. He's really cute. ^^ London rocked, but don't ever go anywhere near Anne Hathaway's house. Awful.

My mom, Vicky, and ~Axedya went with me to the midnight release party for Breaking Dawn. I know there are a lot of people who didn't like the book, but I did, although it wasn't as good as the first three.

I saw Melissa and little Selene (who likes barbecue chips very much). I saw Kyle too, but he's mean so he doesn't count.

I bought a swim suit. A really cute swim suit. And didn't get to go swimming once. :(

I went on a ton of dates with ~SomebodyMinus1. ^^ Actually, that's what I did most days I left the house. :p

I found out that I am not, in fact, a Saggitarius, but an Ophiuchus (Serpent Bearer). Kinda cool, but confusing as it is not a sign generally accepted in astrology, and therefore nothing is known about the personality of an Ophiuchus. I suppose that could explain a lot. :p

I finally got around to watching Avatar... Front to finish. Toph is still my favorite. ^^

AND

I started playing an MMORPG called Wonderland Online. It's the cutest one I've ever found. You play a character shipwrecked on an island. You build stuff, battle adorable monsters, collect pets, and even furnish your very own tent (which is really more like a small house on the inside). Etc.

School

1A~~~AP English
2A~~~Creative Writing
3A~~~Physics
4A~~~Art II

1B~~~Pre Calc
2B~~~American Govt.
3B~~~Spanish IV
4B~~~Lab Aide - Ogden

HR~~~Ogden

Fun Fact: The labware dishwasher is the same one I have. :D

Not-So-Fun Fact: I cannot write a 5-paragraph essay in 16 minutes. Especially not in Spanish. Thank God no one else in my class can either.

Another Fun Fact: Miss Martin does not accept "brb" in speaking exercises, even when you say it "be ere be", but she didn't say anything about "jk" as "jota ka" OR about our "salsa frita" (fried salsa). Is it even possible to fry salsa? Would anyone want to?! These are the great questions of life...

deviantart

Yes, I know I haven't been very active, but I haven't left and I haven't quit. I've been checking in all summer, I just haven't felt like uploading anything or posting in the forums. But I'm going to make an effort to start uploading some new stuff at least because (A) I want a new ID, (B) I want a new avatar, and (C) I'm in art class again so I don't have many excuses. ^^

HOWEVER let it be known that if I don't feel like responding to something I'll postpone it. I try to respond to everything eventually (if it's worth a response anyways), but it might take awhile. This isn't to offend you. This is because I am lazy and just got my free time cut in half.

The only people I guarantee relatively quick repsonses to are ~SomebodyMinus1 and ~Axedya. I love getting messages from you guys. ^^

ANYWAYS I think I'm done so... yes. Um... Bye!

Science Feature

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, science and art can mix! Here’s the proof I’ve found in my wanderings about dA. Most of them have had very little attention, so give them some love!

And one of my own:

WIPs

Lots... I might upload some tonight though.
